I love Urban Natures Jewelry! It is all very nature inspired and has been seen on many celebrities. The company’s mission is to GIVE HOPE- they give 15% of their proceeds to Youth Farm, an inspiring non-profit organization that provides agriculture education programs to inner city youth. I love their jewelry and what they’re about so you must check them out!
Here’s a photo of me wearing one of their pieces that I’m in love with!

I have been using a new powder I discovered recently called the, Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder. I have one word for this powder; perfect.
So, maybe you have heard about highlighting and contouring in makeup. Highlighting brings something out, makes it pop, or makes it glow. I have used dozens of highlighting powders and I honestly haven’t found one I don’t like. Anything that will make my skin have that youthful glow is awesome in my book. But, if you’re unsure of what highlighter to get, and you want to make sure you get one that isn’t TOO much for you…a good starting place is the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder..it’s perfect.
This product comes in 6 different shades and retails for $45. It’s definitely a pricy product, but honestly…you will use it everyday and love the way your skin looks with it on. My favorite shade for my skintone is “diffused light”. It is a soft, warm pale yellow highlighter, there are several darker shades and also one lighter.
I use mine only on the tops of my cheekbones and under my eyes to help brighten and illuminate my skin. They say that these make you look like you are in the perfect lighting-that is definitely true. They photograph beautiful and make my cheekbones pop when I use this!
What makes this different than other highlighters? You can’t overdo it with this product. It is super smooth and beautiful on the skin no matter how much is applied.
I picked up one of these NEW Baby Lips Dr Rescue Medicated Balm’s the other day totally on a whim. My lips were dry and chapped and just the name alone , DR RESCUE made me say, “for $2.99″ I need to try that. Well, I can tell you it was one of the best $2.99 I ever spent!
These new medicated lip balms by Maybelline have Menthol in them to quicky soothe , comfort and hydrate your lips. They come in a variety of tinted colors.
I ended up going back to Walgreens and picking up two other shades. My favorites so far are the colors Berry Soft which is a light plum/pink color and Soothing Sorbet which is a light/medium pink. They provide the perfect amount of sheer tint to your lips and hydrate and soothe as well.
For the past week I have used nothing but these Baby Lips medicated balms and my lips are completely healed from the dryness I was experiencing.
Look for them in Ulta stores and Walgreens!
I am so honored that Southwest Metro Magazine Featured me and my lash work in their October 2013 issue. Hope you will check it out if you happen to see the magazine!
Hope you all are having an amazing week.
